- Child Advocacy Podcast
Episode 8: "I Object!"
Welcome back to The Child Advocacy Podcast!
In this episode, we bid a fond farewell to our friend, Brandon Fletcher, as we bless him and allow him to move on to the call and claim to his life - full-time ministry. With that, I hope you will join me in welcoming my new co-host, Melissa Barnes. Melissa is our new Marketing and Resource Development Coordinator and formerly worked as an Advocate Coordinator in Ottawa County. Welcome, Melissa!
Then, we'll answer a Listener Question about testifying in court. Listener Question: "Angela, I get really nervous when I go into the courtroom. My armpits sweat, my knees feel like they're going to buckle, and I get dry mouth. Which makes me wonder what I will do if I ever get called to the witness stand. Help! I know you must have some handy tips. Yours truly, Sweaty."
In our next segment we'll keep talking about courtroom decorum and how to handle yourself in court.
In our final segment, we're going Back to Basics with CASA Volunteer Monthly Checklist.
